7. User Content & LicensesYou retain ownership of photos, videos, and related materials you upload (
“User Content”).
By submitting User Content, you grant CatHunter a
non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to
host, store, reproduce, display, and process your content
solely to operate, provide, and moderate the Service.7.1 Model Improvement (AI)To improve recognition quality, we may use User Content to
train, evaluate, and improve our models and detection systems. You can
opt out of model-training use in settings at any time; opting out does not affect your ability to use the Service.
7.2 CatHunter Channels (Promo)You also grant CatHunter a limited right to
feature selected User Content in our
own channels (e.g., the CatHunter website, blog, or official social media)
with reasonable attribution to your username/account, unless you set your content/account to private or opt out of promo usage in settings (where available).
7.3 Research Sublicensing (De-identified / Aggregated)To support bona-fide
scientific and animal-welfare projects, CatHunter may
grant limited sublicenses to trusted
startups, academic institutions, and municipalities to access
de-identified or aggregated derivatives of User Content and related data
solely for
scientific research and animal-welfare purposes (e.g., population studies, vaccination/feeding planning, shelter capacity planning).
Such access will be governed by written agreements that:
- (i) restrict use to the stated purpose;
- (ii) prohibit re-identification, precise location disclosure, and any harmful use;
- (iii) require appropriate privacy and security safeguards; and
- (iv) require deletion/return of data at the project’s end.
This sublicensing right does
not permit unrelated commercial exploitation of your content.
